Lost, then Found

I thought I have lost our new camera, but it turned up under a pile of Di-di's clothes before Memorial weekend! I am going to blame it on Di-di . He must have hidden the camera, or mommy is totally losing her mind!! :) Hope we can find our extra car key next. It was "lost" a few months ago..

Here are some the precious pictures that I thought were lost forever... Phew~~

I have been taking Di-di to a KinderMusik class. For 5 sessions, we have fun singing, do some crafts and learn about animals in the Zoo Train. It is great to see that Di-di follows instruction well. He loves singing and dancing! I managed to sneak in a couple of pictures in our first class.

Memorial Weekend

S took a break from his study to attend N & I's party with us. It was a special occasion to celebrate I's B-day and the great news of her pregnancy! Di-di got to see N's niece again.

(I thought these pictures tell an interesting story. Both C & Di-di wanted the ball, but they didn't fight over it! They were both just eyeing the ball and each other, seemingly waiting for the other to make the first move. Perhaps my effort of teaching Di-di to share and play nice is finally paying off!! Or C is just so cute and Di-di wanted to leave a good impression! :)

Day Out with Thomas

All of a sudden Di-di became "obsessed" with "Thomas", so I was so happy when I found this "Day Out with Thomas" event near Sac last weekend! Immediately bought tickets for us to enjoy a fun day with "Thomas & Friends." Daddy was of course stuck with his books again, but Di-di and I had fun without daddy! :)

Unfortunately, I lost my new camera sometime last week, so there was only one picture taken by the event photographer.
Di-di loved riding the train, running from tent to tent and listening to a Thomas story!

He loved this performer's music, but was scared by the drums!! (我們弟弟個頭大大膽子卻很小 :)

He was fascinated by the "puppet" show (I cherish these moments when he is still fascinated by everything:)

Who is the Boss?

Somtimes it feels like Di-Di is the 少爺 (the young master) in our house and Mommy is his 老媽子 (maid)! :)

Happy Mother's Day (2008)

Our original plan was to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday with S's parents and sister, but the lunch date was canceled due to a problem at their place.

Since the CFA exam is coming up in 3 weeks, I wanted S to focus on his studies, so the responsibility of celebrating Mother's Day then fell on Di-di's shoulders. :) Di-di and I had a very relaxing Mother's Day: woke up late at 9:00AM as planned; had a leisurely breakfast; went to Toys R Us for some Thomas train fun; then Di-di took his 2-hour nap in the afternoon; afterwards we hung out at Borders for 2 hours; finally we ended the day with some yummy Thai take-out.

It was a great day and I had a lot time to reflect on this special day and this special anniversary week that totally changed our life two years ago.

(P.S. Di-di's newest obsession is Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.)

Weekend

This weekend my brother J came out to CA to visit us from TX. On Sat morning D & A called us to see if we want to go out to lunch. I decided to turn a lunch get together into an early birthday celebration for Di-di. Quickly ran to the supermarket to grab some balloons and a cheese cake. We had fun! (I finally lifted the no-sweet policy and gave Di-di 5 bites of the cheese cake. :)
